Gudon – scenic village

A holiday in South Tyrol’s most pristine place! The picturesque village of Gudon is situated in the middle of the Valle Isarco near the holiday and artist’s city of Chiusa, on 734 metres a.s.l. It has 558 inhabitants and is a part of the municipality of Chiusa. Mentioned for the first time in the year 950, the sunny village today is the perfect starting point for hiking and culinary tours in the many restaurants in and around Gudon – and for tours across the Valle Isarco!

Already in the Middle Ages South Tyrol’s idyllic village Gudon hosted two manors, the Koburg and Summersberg Castle. Besides remains from the Middle Ages, this romantic hideaway at the entrance of the Funes Valley offers beautiful hiking trails through the World Natural Heritage Site of the Dolomites until Gardena Valley, cosy restaurants and parlours... and the typical South Tyrolean hospitality, pristine and heart-warming!
